I have known this extraordinary physician (Dr. Winter) for many years. He is completely devoted to the well being of his patients and always goes the extra mile to treat everyone with dignity and respect. His expertise is vast and he is one of the best physicians i have ever encountered.

I had a great experience seeing Dr. Christian Vulpis for my knee joint pain. He was extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and took the time to really listen to my concerns. He explained everything clearly and made me feel comfortable and confident with the treatment plan. The staff was also friendly and professional, and the overall experience was excellent from start to finish. I’m already noticing improvement and would highly recommend Dr. Vulpis to anyone dealing with joint pain or looking for quality care.

Before I found Dr. Ocasio, I suffered with chronic daily intractable headaches for over a decade, and things got even worse after a 2021 neurosurgery that left me with serious long-term complications and nerve damage. I thought my life was over; it was just pain and suffering. Desperate for help, I traveled up and down the east coast consulting with different specialists at big name institutions, all to no avail. I had pretty much given up and was in a very dark place, but with my last drop of hopeful ambition I did one more search using different key words, and suddenly Dr. Ocasio popped up at the top of my screen... Did I just stumble upon a miraculous godsend right here on Long Island?! In case you don't feel like reading a long review, the short answer is YES, I DID! And if you're reading this, it means you have too! And do not let anything stop you from making the appointment that will change your life!

When I first met Dr. Ocasio, he gave me hope at a time when I had just about run out. But then, being under his care, he has actually been giving me my life back, piece by piece.

Leading into my first appt, I had been bedridden on disability for over 2 years after my surgery. I couldn't even take care of myself, let alone do anything I enjoyed. But over the last year and a half with Dr. Ocasio, I started having more good days, found new ways to treat and manage my symptoms, regained my independence, grew stronger and started to feel like myself again. I'm not exaggerating when I say that he restored my will and desire to LIVE, and gave me back a life worth living.

This man is a unicorn of the healthcare industry! Again, not exaggerating, I have literally NEVER received this level of care and attentiveness anywhere. He spends so much time with me at each appt, always thoughtful and never rushing. He brainstorms different potential routes we could take and discusses them in-depth. He thinks outside the box and approaches things from every angle, treating the whole patient and the underlying problems, not just the pain symptoms. He's the only doctor I've ever had who also talks to me about nutrition, lifestyle, supplements, sleep, etc. And he seems to have endless ideas, so if plan 'A' isn't the cure-all, there's still a whole alphabet to work through. What I usually say about my own situation is that we didn't find a miracle cure for my symptoms, but everything we did chipped away at them like 3-5% at a time... but now when you add it all up, the difference is huge!

At the beginning, I was worried about Dr. Ocasio being out of network with my insurance, but his office is amazing at coordinating my out of network benefits and making it possible for me to continue receiving this top tier care that only they provide. And the truth is that Dr. Ocasio wouldn't be able to be his unicorn self if he was shackled by the constraints of large institutions and insurance companies. Unicorns can only exist in out-of-network private practice, so thank goodness that's what North Shore Headache & Spine is!

In addition to Dr. Ocasio himself, everyone working in this office is exceptionally wonderful. They're so friendly, helpful, warm and just all around lovely. And - not that it matters, but gotta give props where they're due - everybody who works here is beautiful and the office itself is super nice with very cool decor.

So TLDR: North Shore Headache & Spine is basically the last bastion of human goodness and superior patient care, Dr. Ocasio is a miracle worker in a class of his own, and I'm forever grateful that he saved (and continues to save) my life.

This place is the nicest place of its kind that I’ve ever been to. From the warm greeting you receive when you walk in all the girls at the front desk are so nice especially Amanda she’s the sweetest and Cherrie does a beautiful job with all treatments especially lip fillers she’s the best. Makes my lips look better but so natural. and she’s excellent at recommending what’s best for your individual needs. She’s knowledgeable, sweet, funny, it’s always an enjoyable visit!

I went to Dr. Ocasio with terrible pain from tennis elbow that had been bothering me for months. Daily activities and even simple tasks were becoming difficult. Dr. Ocasio quickly diagnosed the issue and came up with a treatment plan that actually worked.

DO NOT judge this practice based on the one review that gave "one star". Dr. Winter has taken care of the majority of my family members and within the last three years I have been his patient. I was in an accident and without the support of Dr. Winter and his staff, I don't know what would have become of me. He has been my biggest advocate and treats his patients as if they were his family. He is extremely patient, attentive, trust worthy, and thorough. Sometimes there is a wait, but I would wait all day to see a doctor as qualified and competent as Dr.Winter. It is rare these days to find a Physician that actually cares more about his patients than the bottom line. I highly recommend this practice and would not go anywhere else.

I had massive headaches and upper back pain and was told to go see a Neurologist. Luckily, I have had the good fortune of having Dr. Winter treat me. He genuinely cares about his patients. He’s compassionate and thorough and would highly recommend him if you need neurological care - he’s fantastic!
